Long black and cream color cigarette holder made with Bakelite. Mouth piece is dark cream color, and cigarette holding end is black. Hexagonal sides and tapered mouth piece.
When smoking in public became all the rage in the cafes of Europe, ladies could keep tobacco stains from their gloved hands with the aid of a cigarette holder. Bakelite was newly invented and given that it is heat resistant. Its use with tobacco was a natural fit.

There is a chip on the outer side of the black end, on the tip. Chip measures 1/8 x 1/4 inch. It does not interfere with insertion of a cigarette. Otherwise in good condition.
