Blue Delft tile of two men carrying a pole with a bunch of grapes suspended between them. They are walking in a flat landscape with a tree directly in front of them. Presumably, they are in the process of making wine. Such a tile would have been from a series showing the stages of winemaking.
From the Netherlands, around 1725. In good condition. One minor chip on the left side, and one minor chip on the bottom righthand corner. Measures 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 3/8 inches. Weighs 9 oz.
