Game board of French monuments in Paris from around the 1830s. Beautifully framed in walnut with maple corner splines. Some of the monuments depicted are well-known, and some are no longer standing. Printed, colored, and reinforced on paper.
The board reads: "Jeu de Monumens Francais, De La Ville de Paris," followed by "Regle de Jeu," or "Rules of the Game." In archival matting with UV protective glass. Few examples of this game exist today.
Measures 29 1/2 x 25 1/4 x 2 inches and weighs approximately 3.5 lbs.
