German glass slides of old Paris (Projection für Alle), c.1890s-1900

Glass slides with photographs of daily life in Paris during the Belle Époque. Buildings since torn down are visible, including those constructed for the World's Fair in 1889 (along with the Eiffel Tower). Unusual examples of everyday French costumes and 19th century transportation, such as the stage coach. Slides are in original box with German writing: Projection für Alle. Dimensions of box are 9 1/2 x 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches. Dimensions of each slide are 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. Box and slides weigh 1 lb. 12 1/4 oz. From Germany in the late 19th or early 20th century.
