Hay also worked on Abraham Lincoln's successful presidential campaign in 1860, was present when the President was on his deathbed, and co-authored an important Lincoln biography with John George Nicolay.
In good condition. Some wear on edges and sides of cover, crumbling on top and bottom of spine. Binding is tight. Crack running along back cover between the end papers is superficial. Late 19th or early 20th century library book, with Coldwater Free Public Library pastedowns behind both covers.
