This Lanterna Magika program comes from a December 1963 performance at ROMA Cinema in Antwerp, Belgium. Hot pink cover.
A program patterned after the world's first multimedia theater at the Czech Pavilion at the World Expo 58 in Brussels, Belgium. "Laterna Magika" was a Czechoslovakian multimedia exhibit at Expo 58 that integrated film and live performance. It was directed by, among others, Milos Forman, who would go on to direct "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (Fantasy Films, 1975). The injection of film into live performance was revolutionary for the time, and the world's reaction was so positive that it went on tour.
The booklet is in nearly perfect condition.
It measures 8 x 10.5 x 0.125 inches, and weighs 2.75 ounces.
This book is a wonderful companion to a Pair of Chairs from the Czech Pavilion at Expo 58 (Link is HERE) or perhaps our Magic Lantern, the original slide projector.
