Historically significant book by Pietro Badoglio The War in Abyssinia, with a forward by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Includes many detailed maps of battles in the back and long landscape pullout photographs throughout. Having recently been given the honorific of Duke of Addis Adeba for his role in destroying the Ethiopian armies - and the world's first use of chemical warfare against civilians - it was only natural that Mussolini was asked to write a forward. This is the first English edition from the Royal Artillery Institution's library and is inscribed “James Adams." Adams was indeed in the Royal Artillery Institution, having earned a rank of at least a Sergeant. 10 x 7 3/4 x 1 1/2, 39 1/4 oz. England, 1937.
