Eight "Peacock Eye and Thistle" pattern bread and butter plates. Vaseline glass. A respectable reproduction by the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA) in the 1980's. This pattern was popular in the early 20th century. This particular Vaseline glass glows brightly when exposed to black light. Although recent, the attention to detail that only the MMA can provide makes these plates a charming addition to your table. And we recommend turning on a few electric black light candles around them to set the party's mood... Each plate has an 8 inch diameter and weighs 16 3/4 oz. American, c.1988.
