Fréjus - The Market . There is evidence of human habitation here since the Celtic tribes, it was a militaristic and trading outpost for the Phonecians, and finally founded as a city by the Romans in about 40BC. It is elevated and overlooks a protected golf with direct access to The Mediterranean.
